Right on the spot. If you try to be natural you will fail. If you try hard to be creative you will not. The phisiology of the brain will not let you do these things. The brain has to create new networks based on previous knowlege and experience, and that takes more time then will. Of course you have to be prepared and gather information but the new idea will pop when you leas expect: it's the eureka! The Medicci knew it some thousand years ago when they gave a bunch of creators the space and means to wonder and create at will, not at force. Even Google understood this and most creative companies know that to be creative you have to have time to play. Jus give time to the little grey cells to grow new connections and build new and original neuronal nets thet translate into new ideas. Someone once said that to invent is to see what others saw and think wht others did not.
